Large turnout at the misinformation workshops for senior citizens
On January 31, the last workshop on disinformation in social networks focused on senior citizens was held, organized and promoted by the Millennium Nucleus on Digital Inequalities and Opportunities (NUDOS) and the Millennium Institute Foundation of Data (IMFD).
With a total of six workshops distributed in four regions of the country, the activity managed to convene more than 150 seniors interested in learning how to identify scams and fake news circulating through digital social networks.
This project was possible thanks to the awarding of a fund that is part of the Millennium Science Initiative, called Projection to the External Environment (PME). The purpose is to generate outreach and scientific transfer activities, something that the NUDOS Millennium Nucleus achieved in conjunction with the Millennium Institute Data Foundations.
