Macarena Valenzuela Beltrán holds a PhD in Political Science. She currently works in Political Science at the Universidad Católica de Temuco and is a young researcher at the Millennium Nucleus for Digital Inequalities and Opportunities (NUDOS). Her doctoral thesis focused on gender and class stereotypes as stimulators of ideological identification, which she measured using an Implicit Attitudes Test. She founded the Rladies chapter in Concepción and teaches R and Python programming. Her research areas focus on stereotypes, systems of values and beliefs, ideological identification, moral foundations, the Implicit Attitudes Test (IAT), gender indicators model, time-use survey – gender experiences in higher education institutions; scientometric analysis of scientific productivity and digital platforms.
